Imagine you have two ways to play with your favorite toy:

1. The Regular App (The Boxed Toy)

Usually, to get a game, you have to go to a special "App Store" (like a giant toy store), ask for permission to download it, and wait for it to finish installing. It takes up a lot of space in your toy box (your phone's memory), and if you don't have internet, it might not work at all.

2. The PWA (The Magic Sticker)

A PWA (Progressive Web App) is like finding a cool toy on a website and being able to put a Magic Sticker of it right on your home screen.
  • No Store Needed: You don't have to go to the "App Store." You just click "Add to Home Screen" while you're on the website.
  • Super Fast: It opens instantly, just like a regular game.
  • Works Anywhere: Even if your internet goes "sleepy" or you're in a car with no Wi-Fi, a PWA can often still let you play because it remembers what you were doing.
  • Always New: You never have to wait for a "Download Update" bar. It fixes itself and stays new every time you open it.
In short: A PWA is a website that "pretends" to be a real app so well that you can't even tell the difference! It’s faster, easier to get, and doesn't fill up your phone with heavy files.
#answer from Gemini since i'm too lazy to explain. luls
tldr;
If you want to have a website, but don't want to create a native mobile app, use PWA.
