how it works

Two stages, nothing complicated

You apply first. If KD approves you, we send the starter handbook and the onboarding form, and help you get set up properly.

Stage 1

Apply

Fill in the public application form. It is short: basic details, your motivation, and what you hope to contribute or gain.

Stage 2

Approval and onboarding

If KD approves your application, we send you the Ambassador Starter Handbook and the onboarding form. That form collects your JomQR profile, KD username, Discord, headshot, track, and usual free days.

You are set up

You are invited to the ambassador WhatsApp group, added to ambassador spaces, and given official roles on Discord and your KD Profile where relevant.

What you agree to

The role is intentionally lightweight. Ambassadors are not expected to act like staff, run everything, or take on heavy work. The goal is to show up consistently, represent KD well, and help more builders feel connected.

Baseline commitments

Complete your JomQR profile, KD Profile, Discord, headshot, and onboarding setup.
Make one small meaningful action per week.
Communicate early if you are busy, unavailable, or unsure.
Represent KD respectfully, and do not promise things on behalf of KD.
Add your KD Ambassador title and JomQR link to your socials where appropriate.

What you are not expected to do

Work like KD staff.
Be online all the time.
Run weekly events alone.
Pay for anything personally.
Guarantee event attendance.
Teach advanced AI topics alone.
Manage the community by yourself.
Make promises on behalf of KD.
Make financial, sponsorship, or partnership commitments for KD.
Take on anything that harms your studies, work, health, or personal responsibilities.

Your track is not a job description. It simply helps KD understand where you are most comfortable contributing. Pick the one that sounds most like you — you can change it later if your interests shift.

What a small action looks like

It does not need to be big. Consistency matters more than volume, and small actions are still real contributions when they help people discover, join, learn, or build.

Like or comment on a KD post.
Repost an event announcement.
Invite one friend to follow KD or join an event.
Share a KD opportunity in a relevant group.
Introduce KD to a student club or community leader.
Welcome someone new into the group.
Suggest a speaker, venue, partner, or event idea.
Help with registration, photos, or basic event support.
Take short videos or photos during a KD activity.
Write a short recap after an event.
Help a beginner understand what KD is.
Share feedback on what students or builders want to learn.

What KD provides

Official KD Ambassador status on your KD Profile where appropriate.
Official ambassador role on Discord.
Access to the private ambassador WhatsApp group and ambassador spaces.
Early updates on KD events, workshops, and opportunities.
Direct communication with the KD team, and guidance when you want to organise something.
Templates for event sharing, recaps, invites, and simple posts.
Networking with builders, founders, students, creators, and ecosystem partners.
Recognition for consistent and meaningful contribution.

Keeping it fair

KD may provide incentives where available, such as recognition, certificates, event access, learning opportunities, or AI credits. These depend on contribution, reliability, campaign needs, available resources, and KD’s final approval.

Being an ambassador does not guarantee payment, employment, sponsorship, or rewards. If you are busy or need a break, tell us. KD may pause an ambassador’s active status after a long quiet period, which is not a punishment; it just keeps the programme organised.
